ALPHARETTA, Ga. — October 20, 2026 — Arclin, a materials science company, today announced that its Nomex® with EcoForce™ finish, which uses non-fluorine repellent chemistry for personal protection, has been selected as a finalist in the Sustainable Innovation Award category of the World Sustainability Awards 2026.

The Sustainable Innovation Award recognizes newly launched products, services and business models that deliver measurable environmental, social, and business impact through sustainable design. Nomex® with EcoForce™ finish was selected as a finalist by an independent panel of Chief Sustainability Officers and senior sustainability leaders from globally renowned organizations.

Designed for workers across diverse industries including chemical, manufacturing, transportation, and mining, Nomex® fabrics with EcoForce™ finish provide multi-hazard protection covering flame, arc flash, high-visibility, welding, and low volume water and chemical splash while meeting international standards for safety. In addition to delivering the trusted protection users expect from Nomex®, the durable finish helps extend garment life, reduces waste, and eliminates the need for costly refinishing to maintain repellency.

EcoForce™’s proprietary finish is made with bio-based materials and utilizes non-fluorine repellent chemistry, meaning it does not contain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
