Growth in industrial logistics demand, improving new orders, stronger investment activity, and optimistic business expectations supported the sector's recovery momentum during the month. Consumer-related logistics activity also remained stable. The Chinese logistics market index rose by 0.6 per cent points from April to 50.3 per cent in May, indicating renewed growth in the sector, according to data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP). A reading above 50 reflects expansion, while a reading below 50 signals contraction. The CFLP said industrial logistics demand accelerated during the month, while consumer-related logistics demand maintained stable growth. “In May, industrial logistics demand accelerated, while consumer-related logistics demand maintained steady expansion,” said Liu Yuhang, director of the China Logistics Information Center . China's logistics sector returned to expansion in May, with the logistics market index rising to 50.3 per cent. Growth in industrial logistics demand, improving new orders, stronger investment activity, and optimistic business expectations supported the sector's recovery momentum during the month. Consumer-related logistics activity also remained stable. All key sub-indexes recorded growth in May. The total business volume sub-index increased to 50.3 per cent, up 0.6 per cent points month on month. The new orders sub-index rose for the third consecutive month to 50.2 per cent, indicating improving market demand. Meanwhile, the fixed-asset investment completion sub-index stood at 54.1 per cent in
