EURATEX at Ecomondo 2026: Advancing Circularity in the Textile Industry

From 3 to 6 November 2026, Ecomondo will bring together industry leaders, policymakers and technology providers in Rimini, Italy, to explore solutions for a more sustainable and circular economy. EURATEX will contribute to the debate on circular textiles, with Mauro Scalia speaking at two dedicated conference sessions.

The European textile and clothing industry is undergoing significant changes. New sustainability requirements, circular business models, advanced recycling technologies and increasing demand for transparency are reshaping the entire value chain.

At Ecomondo 2026 , the dedicated Textile District will provide a space to explore these developments, connecting companies, institutions, buyers and technology providers working towards a more circular textile economy.

EURATEX speaking at Ecomondo 2026

Mauro Scalia, EURATEX Director for Sustainable Businesses , will contribute to two conference sessions addressing key EU sustainability policies and their impact on the textile sector.

ESPR and Digital Product Passport in textiles: traceability and transparency along the value chain

The session will explore the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and the role of the Digital Product Passport (DPP) in improving transparency and traceability across textile value chains.

Textile EPR in Italy and Europe: harmonization of systems and new challenges for the supply chain

This session will focus on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for textiles, addressing the harmonisation of national systems and the challenges facing companies across the supply chain.
